Hi @BPedersen8,

There's a detailed documentation which you can find here: https://help.webinargeek.com/en/articles/4273006-hubspot - have a look and let me know if you have any follow-up questions!

If you have workflows available in your portal (on the Professional or Enterprise tier), you can filter for a contact having registered for or attended to a WebinarGeek webinar. That way, you could design a journey (automated marketing emails) that are sent based on a registration or attendance (or lack thereof). https://knowledge.hubspot.com/marketing-email/create-automated-emails-to-use-in-workflows

Hope this helps! If you need more detail or have specific questions, let me know.

Salesforce Integration - Sync Multiple Associated Companies

Hello Everyone,

I'm working to configure the Salesforce integration, and am hoping for some insight into a use case.

We want to be able to sync Contacts, Companies and Deals. With the way that our data is set up, a contact can be associated with multiple companies. Our "companies" are school districts and individual schools, so we commonly have, for example, a principal who is associated with both their school and the parent district.

In my testing, only the contact's Primary company is syncing to Salesforce. Is there a way to ensure that all associated companies for a contact are synced?

Re: Can I send WhatsApp messages from HubSpot Mobile App?

Thanks @Victor_Becerra. Hi @MUmstadt. As I understand it, and based on some research, WhatsApp conversations not showing on the mobile contact timeline and only being reply‑able from the conversations inbox is a current limitation of how HubSpot’s native WhatsApp channel is implemented, and not something you’re missing in settings.

Let's get into some of the techincal stuff I found. First, a look at where WhatsApp actually lives in HubSpot. So, when we connect WhatsApp natively, every WhatsApp message is treated as a Conversations Inbox thread, not as a classic contact “activity” like an email or call. The official docs emphasize that you respond to WhatsApp in the conversations inbox (including via the HubSpot mobile app’s Inbox view), and all the examples and UI language are around threads, sessions, and inbox views rather than per‑contact timelines.

Here's what I think that means as to why you can’t reply from the contact record (here's a resource I found and took some inspiration from on this section). The reply experience HubSpot supports for WhatsApp is the Inbox reply editor, which is built around WhatsApp’s 24‑hour session window and template rules; that logic (session state, channel switching, template enforcement) is implemented in the inbox, not on the contact record UI in mobile. Because of that architecture, mobile currently exposes WhatsApp reply only where the “conversation object” lives (Inbox) rather than duplicating that editor on the contact record screen, especially on smaller mobile layouts.

Now to your main question about why the conversations aren’t visible on the mobile timeline. I found that HubSpot’s WhatsApp integration is explicitly documented as: “messages will only appear in the conversations inbox in your HubSpot account,” highlighting that the primary home is the inbox, not record timelines. Desktop does allow initiating WhatsApp from the record timeline and associating threads with contacts/companies, but the mobile app UI lags behind here: the mobile contact record timeline does not yet render WhatsApp thread activity as a first‑class, filterable card the way email/logged activities are, so it feels like the conversation has “disappeared” unless you open Inbox.

So it would seem to me that this is a mobile app limitation and a logging/model limitation. At the platform level, it’s a modeling choice: WhatsApp = Conversations Inbox channel, stored as threads with session rules, not as generic engagement activities; that’s why “logging” is inbox‑centric. At the app level, it’s a mobile UX limitation: the mobile app does not currently surface those inbox threads as timeline items on the contact record or embed the WhatsApp reply editor there, even though the underlying association exists on the backend.

So as I see it, right now WhatsApp conversations can only be replied to from the Conversations Inbox (desktop or mobile), and are not exposed as a replyable thread on the mobile contact record timeline; this is a known limitation of the current mobile app UX for the WhatsApp inbox channel.

For this final part, I asked gen AI for a workaround. Here's what I found (I did not verify this with a real-world test, but it does seem to be logical).

On mobile, users need to:

Open Conversations > Inbox in the mobile app and work from that queue for WhatsApp threads.

On desktop, use the contact/company record if they want more of a CRM‑centric view, where initiating WhatsApp from the timeline is supported.

Hopefully this helps understand more, and maybe helps with inspiring a workaround or other solution.

Hey @SharonM - since we Americans are a stubborn bunch and refuse to adopt WhatsApp (I personally had no idea until we had a an exchange student from Argentina and still use it with her!), I've found the same frustration. Now with my team, we use it a ton because we're spread out around the world. But anyway... I understand your disbelief. I'm with you.

I like the suggestion from @MuhammadAmjad below. If you're able to work with a dev type mind, or have your own in-house, something like that might help. Otherwise I've seen clients use integrations to varying degrees. Here's a list of some I've heard about. Not verified to work "best," or to pass inspection by security teams. But just a short list to help in your search.

JustCall: Calls, SMS, and WhatsApp logging. This HubSpot integration says it can log calls, SMS, and WhatsApp as activities or timeline events against contacts, with options for how each direction/event is stored. It's more “telephony‑centric”, but for teams that want calls + SMS + WhatsApp in one place, it’s a strong candidate and easier to standardize than bespoke solutions.

HelloSend (community‑recommended): SMS + WhatsApp in one app. This one seems to be built to plug SMS and WhatsApp directly into HubSpot so every conversation is logged on the contact/ticket timeline and available for reporting. It does support 1:1 and bulk, plus workflow‑triggered messages, making it easier to have APAC/LATAM comms show up alongside email/call logs.

Or I also see @abhinavsahai jumped in with timely good news. I'd probably jump on that offer to chat!

Anyway, hopefully that helps some. Cheers!

Hey,

Hoping someone else has had a similar issue and could lend some help?

We use CIN7 Core as our MRP system, so it tracks all our orders from the website and offline sales, as well as our stock levels etc.

And despite their being a built-in integration for this with HubSpot, the two just don't seem to want to talk to each other. Products are fine, no issues there, but orders and customer info will not synch.

All the statuses are linked, and because of the products pages updating, we know they are connected. But anytime we try to synch sales, we get an error.

CRITICAL ERROR: unhandled exception occurred during process of "Exporting of Customers and Contacts" from HubSpot.

We have raised it with Cin7 but its taking its time.

Can anyone suggest anything to get this going? It's holding up our going live now.

Thank you.

Suzanne.

Re: Eventbrite adding segments

Hi @DJames79 , I took another look at this and at our Eventbrite integration docs to make sure we weren’t missing anything.

You’re not missing a setup step – this is a UI mismatch between Eventbrite’s own “segments” and HubSpot’s lists/segments.

In short:

The Eventbrite integration syncs registrations, cancellations, and attendance into HubSpot and exposes Eventbrite-related fields you can use in lists and workflows.
Docs: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/integrations/how-to-connect-hubspot-and-eventbrite#segment-eventbrite-registrants-and-attendees

The right way to segment in HubSpot is what you’re already doing: Active Lists using those Eventbrite registration/attendance properties and/or lifecycle/owner criteria.

The “Segments” box on the Eventbrite event page UI inside HubSpot is part of the embedded Eventbrite experience. It does not read from HubSpot lists, and “add via filters” refers to Eventbrite’s own filters, not HubSpot list filters, so there’s no supported way to push your HubSpot segments into that panel.

So effectively:

Use HubSpot Active Lists (with Eventbrite properties) for any segmentation, reporting, or automation in HubSpot.

Treat the Segments section on the Eventbrite event view as Eventbrite’s own segmentation UI – it won’t mirror the HubSpot lists you’ve built.

Let me know if this helps!

Best,

I’ve tried a lot of different tools and workflows for this, and honestly TwainGPT has been the best AI humanizer I’ve used. If you’re already generating content with ChatGPT or other LLMs, running it through TwainGPT before publishing makes a real difference. For SEO content especially, it’s been the easiest way to avoid AI detection, sound human, and actually make content that ranks well on Google without having to rewrite everything manually. At this point it’s just part of my process whenever I’m publishing AI-generated content.

I've been seeing more marketers and SEO teams use ChatGPT and other LLMs to generate their content, especially as part of content workflows managed in tools like HubSpot. The speed is great, but the biggest issue I keep running into is that AI-generated content still sounds robotic and almost always gets flagged by AI detectors. I'm curious how people are dealing with this. Are you rewriting everything manually, spending more time refining prompts, or using something to humanize the content after it's written?

I've been testing a few different approaches myself, including using TwainGPT to make the writing sound more human and get around AI detectors. TwainGPT is effective and one of the best humanizers I have used, but I'm still interested in understanding how others are dealing with this.

I did, however, delete the integration and set it
up again and that cleared up the issue so I think I'm good to go. Thanks
for the input!

You can get a two-way sync, but auto-creating Opportunities from Deals usually needs a custom workflow or a connector that supports that specific field mapping. If you don’t want to tinker with it yourself, a microsoft dynamics partner UK could walk you through the setup and help smooth out things like data mapping or user adoption. Sometimes a small config tweak saves hours of head-scratching

Instead, the serverless function should just perform the create/associate work and return to your front-end; then, in the browser context (the iframe that rendered the CRM action), you’d call
window.parent.postMessage(...)
once the action succeeds and listen for that in your card via
window.addEventListener('message', ...)
to trigger your refresh.
The overall pattern Muhammad described (no native callback, using a custom event via
postMessage
, validating origins, and the note about icons not being supported in action buttons today) is absolutely the right direction — this is just a tweak about where that
postMessage
can safely live.

Hi @dgomez-dev and Happy Friday! To start with, I'm happy to share that I did submit the feedback form on your behalf so that our Team can review it.

For the remaining items, at the moment, the UI Extensions SDK doesn’t provide a real-time trigger specifically for association changes.

Here are the options available right now:

- Webhook subscriptions: You can listen for object.associationChange events on the backend.

- onCrmPropertiesUpdate action: This covers property changes, but not association updates.

- Manual refresh: Use the useAssociations hook along with a refresh button for updated info.

Currently, there isn’t a real-time, websocket-style update for UI cards when associations change. Also, the SDK’s refreshObjectProperties method is focused on refreshing property data and CRM data components, so it doesn’t capture association-based updates.

If you’re looking for enhanced real-time capabilities for associations, you might want to share this as a feature request.
For new feature suggestions, I'd recommend first to search and check if this idea is already present on our Ideas Forum here.

Hey @竹上克司 and a big warm welcome from the HubSpot Community! 🧡

Great question, thanks for asking!

I am happy to confirm that yes, the p_* wildcard is officially supported for targeting all custom objects within your account:

“The custom object wildcard p_* can be used in place of p_objectName to target all custom objects in your HubSpot account.”

This is a documented feature in the link you shared "App cards reference", so you can be confident that your implementation using p_* is both valid and fully supported.

Since it’s mentioned in the official documentation, you can safely use it in production environments.

Let me know if you have any more questions, I’m happy to help!

Have a wonderful weekend @竹上克司!
Bérangère

This post was created with the assistance of AI tools
