Getting rid of "Starts on effective date" in Quotes

Hello,

I'm trying to create my first quote, but the wording "Starts on effective date" appears under every product in every line item. That wording doesn't make sense since it's a one-time product they are purchasing and we are shipping to them. I have played with all the settings and properties related to quotes and products and I cannot seem to find a solution.

Hi y'all,

One of my clients is looking to use custom-designed quotes in HubSpot so they can maintain their existing look and feel. Their previous quotes were almost brochure-like and included accessories as well as up- and cross-sell suggestions.

While my coding knowledge is limited, I also believe this level of customization may not be possible out of the box. That said, the client would like to know whether the following is possible:

When a product is selected on a quote, can an image of that product be automatically added to the quote so the recipient can see the product visually?

Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Why isn't the line item font changeable?

There is misleading verbiage directly under Heading 4 (H4) that says "formatting of the line item names." However, it doesn't actually change anything about the line item names and after talking to HS Support, they said the line item name font cannot be changed. If every other font area is available to be changed on a quote, please make it make sense that line item names are the only thing that cannot be changed and therefore they stick out oddly when they are a heavy bold (for some reason) and all the other text on the page can be a different font.

Has anybody figured out how to change their line items to match the rest of their chosen font on a quote?

Subscriptions - upselling

We are a software company and are looking to start to use Hubspot Subscriptions. We currently do subscription management manually and think that we can improve our process flows by moving to subscriptions.

We use Hubspot as our CRM/Sales tool, and Sage Intacct as our finance tool. All invoices/payments are generated/managed in Sage Intacct. This won't change. We will never move to credit card/online payments due to the type of customers we serve.

Looking at Hubspot, I had the view that our sales process could generate the subscription, which will create the invoice record in Hubspot. We will then use our data mover to transfer the invoice record to Sage for processing. We will move the invoice status (paid!) back to Hubspot to close the loop.

For the most part, this seems to work. However I have found that we cannot amend (upsell) a subscription mid term, and have the interim invoice automatically generated. We can amend before a billing period boundary and the next invoice is uplifted, but we need the interim invoice to cover the difference. Apparently we cannot amend subscriptions if we don't use online payments.

Is there any workaround or dummy payment process we can implement to allow Subscription upselling?

many thanks,

Ian

HubSpot Form to CRM Sync Delay – Troubleshooting Tips?

Hey fellow HubSpot users!

I’ve set up a HubSpot landing page form to feed leads directly into my CRM, but lately, there’s a 10-15 minute delay between someone submitting the form and the lead appearing in the CRM. I’ve double-checked the form’s "Sync to CRM" setting (it’s enabled!) and there are no error messages in the form submissions log.
Has anyone run into this sync lag before? Are there common culprits (like third-party integrations or plan limits) I should check? Any quick fixes to speed up the data flow?

Thanks for sharing your insights—super appreciative!
https://www.naproxy.com/

Attributing revenue from quotes to suppliers

Hi there !

We have a major data attribution challenge:

A client can order from us multiple products from multiple partners.

Like:
Client Alpha
1000 product A (1$) from supplier 1

2000 product B (1$) from supplier 2

Client Beta

1000 product C (1$) from supplier 2

1 product D (1$) from supplier 3

Ideally, I'd want to have on the supplier company record ID, a view on how much revenue they represented for us.

for example: supplier 2 would represent 2000+ 1000 = 3000$ (assuming the price is 1$ for each product for the sake of the example)

I thought of creating inside the sales deal a quote and have a custom line item property with the supplier company record ID to be pasted in manually by each rep; but even with this, the best we can do a 1 custom report per supplier. Again the goal is to view on the supplier record how much revenue they generated for us.

Additional constraint: can we do this without custom code, zappier and custom objects (for budget reasons)

Any brilliant ideas?

CPQ License Access

We recently purchased 1 Commerce Hub Professional seat but it isn't fit for purpose.

We purchased it so that a sales rep could send out a quote and use the native e-signature functionality to get the quote signed. (With the intention of standardizing on Hubspot and not buying lots of 3rd party apps)

As an Admin working as the Deal Desk manager, I have setup the new quote templates using the new CPQ functionality, but I can't see the quote templates. I am stuck on the old legacy quote interface because I don't have a license.

After spending a bunch of time troubleshooting with support, it seems that this is the expected behavior, but it does not make sense to have an org where you have both legacy and new/beta quotes available in an org. (In Salesforce, you would only have one version for the whole org, regardless of license)

So, the very normal use case of having your Deal Desk person create an approved quote for a sales rep to send out to the customer doesn't work UNLESS you buy a seat for every single person that interacts with the quote. It is a very poor user experience to have an admin be able to configure a quote template but then not actually be able to test or access it.

I don't agree with this licensing model, but if you want to continue down this path, you need to make sure your sales reps are crystal clear that admins + every person sending out a quote need to have a Commerce seat. You should never buy a single license unless your sales rep is the admin, which I think most of us would agree is a very bad idea.

To be specific: I have built custom quote with custom calculations so template display correct data but on the step when users add Line Items The TCV is wrong.

Here are some questions that may help me find correct solution:

1. Is there a way to upadte price for line item using custom calculation when we add Line Item?

2. Is it possible to hide Total Contract Value/Amount in Quote builder?

3. Is it possible to overwrite TCV/Amount and recalculate it when we add line items??

4. Is it possible to use new AI Quote tool and Old at the same time. The associated contact's full name (even if it's just the first contact)

I need to be able to produce an invoice for a 3rd party company (which will be selected as the addressee), referring to the specific deal and the contact associated with that deal.

The invoice list within the commerce module lists the deal ID and the contact name within the Invoice ID line... so why can't I toggle those property fields in the invoice itself?

What I have tried so far:

1. Creating an invoice property with a property sync to pull through the Deal Record ID - and I managed to get it into the invoice as a custom field, but it does not sync through in the invoice preview (it remains blank).

2. Creating an invoice property as a single line text, which we can fill manually but that is additional work remembering to copy the Deal ID to paste it in.

3. Creating a workflow to populate that single line text property, but I don't seem to be have the option to use 'update a CRM property' in the workflow where the trigger is 'upon creating a new invoice record'.

Hopefully there is a solution that can be easily implemented so I don't have to manually input this info to each invoice every time.

Unable to add a one-time discount in the CPQ tool

Hi all,

I am a new HubSpot user and am trying to add a one-time special discount to a quote. I am unable to do this in the new CPQ quoting tool although this capability is available in the Legacy quoting tool. Our products have tiered pricing; so I was old to upgrade to Commerce Professional to get access to this (beta!) feature. The AI Assistant and online chat all point me back to the Legacy Quoting tool, which we can't use due to the tiered pricing (and moreover, would require my admin to revoke my Commerce Pro Seat.

How do I add a one-time special discount that is not tied to any products for a customer with the new CPQ quoting tool?

Btw, if any HubSpot product manager is watching this board, you folks have regressed with the CPQ quoting tool compared to the Legacy Quoting tool!

Hubspot Subscription billing date request

When creating a payment link or subscription, we’d like all future billing dates to remain consistent with the original custom due date set for the subscription. For example, if a subscription is created with a billing due date of 10/23/25, we want each subsequent billing to occur on the 23rd of each month, even if the customer doesn’t complete their first payment until a later date (e.g., 11/16/25).

Currently, if a customer delays payment, HubSpot adjusts future billing dates based on the actual payment date, not the scheduled due date. This shift results in lost revenue for the days between invoicing and payment receipt, as the billing cycle effectively moves forward with each delay.

To avoid this, we’ve been manually changing future billing dates after the first payment is received but this process is time-consuming and prone to error.

Using customer assigned discount in quote creation

Hi,
I'm looking for a bit of help with an issue I am trying to solve for our team.

We have quite a simple pricing system. All products have a fixed price, but then certain clients or partners have a contracted discount % that is always used.

Where I'm at:
- I have created a custom property on Deal level for discount percentage

- I have worked on custom quote template where I wanted to use the new discount value to influence line item price (not successful).

How can I automatically add this discount amount to quote when it is being created to influence the quoted amopunt (for line item and total quote amount)?

Appretiate the help!
